DJOC performs at private events and venues throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. We insure that whether you are entertaining in your home, a lovely ballroom or any venue around town that you get close attention to detail from start to finish. DJOC applies our “How We Work” approach to give you entertainment that you desire. This is a step by step process starting with our initial consultation and setting up your online account. This allow us to create your itinerary, collect pertinent event and program information, as well as your music selections. At DJOC we are hands on we secure the information that we need for your event, communicate and review this with you, confirm and document the particulars and put on a great show.
Working with various event planners throughout the Washington DC area has allowed us to obtain the experience in setting up in homes, restaurants, office spaces and any type of location in which you may wish to host an event. We are also experts in “volume control”. DJOC knows that it is best to have a guest or an associate to ask to have the volume increased instead of the opposite. We know that at many of these events you may and desire to have a cocktail style type set up. This means that you and your guest wish to be able to talk and socialize while also having live entertainment in the form of a DJ. So if there is a cocktail hour, dinner hour, dancing, etc., we understand how music should be presented throughout the evening.

Your event is coordinated behind-the-scenes. We make event coordination easier by assisting our clients with all of the appropriate planning details. These details are then confirmed by our operations Manager two days before the function. All of our client interactions are logged in our computer network, assuring excellent follow-through.
When a booking is secured with DJOC, our office staff then contacts the location of the event (unless it is your home) to inform them of the date and time of performance, the dimensions of the space requirements, and to request a table for the DJ. The operations Manager then assigns a customized system depending upon the number of guests and the size characteristics of the room (e.g., the presence of stairs). On the day of the event, the disc jockey arrives approximately two hours before the scheduled start time (more setup time available upon request). The console, disc jockey area, and music collection require about a ten by ten foot square area. The system is set up and tested, then the DJ changes into appropriate attire and begins final preparations. The technician is always available by mobile phone, and there will be an office manager on duty.
