"……………Aaron; Hey there! We just got back from the honeymoon and I wanted to tell you again what an amazing job you did at our wedding!!!! It really was such a great party and we have you to thank for that! Everyone asked us where we found you because everyone said you were the best DJ (of course, we already knew that!)……………………"

"………Aaron did an outstanding job of getting the party started and keeping the dance floor full throughout our reception! Even in the heat of the Maryland summer and the air conditioning had gone out he continued to play jams that kept relatives and friends of all ages on the dance floor. Not only that but he did an outstanding job of coming up with a custom mix of 2 versions of All I Do by both Stevie Wonder and Kirk Whalum/Wendy Moten that my wife and I used for our first dance. I would love to be at another party where Aaron is spinning!…………… Several people that I talked to about the wedding told me that you " played the best music ". Another friend told me that she hadn't danced like that in years. It really was a wonderful time, despite the heat from the June summer and the lack of air conditioning. We couldn't have asked for more!……………………."

"………………Aaron Couch did a fantastic job with our wedding reception and made planning the music almost effortless. After our initial meeting with him, for which he drove across the entire city, we got our own page on his website and selected the music from his vast collection. We talked through our choices at a final meeting, also in a location convenient for us, and then he used his experience and knowledge of music to order and mix them for the reception, which was great. On the day of our reception, he was organized enough to remind us of the schedule, but flexible enough to adapt to changes we wanted to make and kept the music we had selected playing the whole time to keep people dancing. All in all, our reception was exactly how we wanted it to be………"

"………………..Aaron; We still hear from friends that our wedding was a truly memorable party. You respected our wishes not to play the " typical " wedding songs and still managed to get people dancing. I would definitely recommend DJOC for any type of event………………"

"………………Good morning Aaron; I just wanted to send you a short email on behalf of both myself, Marquez, and my wife Rachelle to let you know how grateful we are to both your company, and especially you, for doing such a fantastic job at our wedding reception on May 24th, 2008. You were nothing but professional from our very first meeting to the last song at the reception. We both came in a little " bushy tailed and wide eyed " , as the old saying goes, but you helped us every step of the way and we learned more than we could’ve ever imagined with your help and experience. While we only met a couple times at your office, I must say that your associates were also nothing but professional and gracious to our wants and needs. We received nothing but rave reviews from everyone that attended about how nice the reception was, how friendly and professional the DJ was and how great, and flowing the music selection was as well. Speaking on behalf of the both of us, this was the most memorable event of our entire lives, and thus we are forever thankful to you for your help in making our wedding reception nothing but a success, and a perfect ending to a perfect day. Our sincerest thanks goes out to both you and your company. Thanks again Aaron, we look forward to both referring new customers your way and hopefully working with you again in the future………………. "

“………Let me begin by saying I was unbelievably and totally satisfied with Aaron Couch’s work for my daughter’s wedding. I can be a pretty tough customer, a [Long Island] native, who grew up with (and had) NY Italian weddings! That being said, we are accustomed to dancing throughout the evening, not ¾ through the event after the cake has been cut. I never attended a Maryland wedding that had the NY format or that everyone was up on the dance floor when music was playing. In thinking about the kind of music that is traditionally played at weddings, I was viscerally opposed to having a “50’s” set, a “60’s” set, etc., culminating with the playing of “Love Shack” that is essentially the gateway to “dancing for the young.” It was very important to all of us that our guests would dance all night long, that the music was appealing to everyone, and that the dance floor was full all night long.
Mission accomplished with Aaron.
He delivered on all points requested. My daughter and the groom and I gave Aaron our play lists and our “no play lists” and he designed a seamless night of dancing using our favorite songs. At the end of the evening, a group of young people on the dance floor chanted, “One more song, One more song” when the last song was over. Needless to say, we all were very pleased with his performance.
The only least favorite aspect of working with Aaron was that he was so far away from us for meetings – Bethesda – but for me, the music and the food could make or break the evening, so our couple of trips to meet with him were worth it.
We had minimal [MC] responsibilities assigned to Aaron, per my daughter and her fiancé’s request, but when he needed to announce special “events” he did so with grace and with ease.
I can’t praise his work enough. For years I wondered how my husband and I would be able to give our daughter a wedding celebration like the ones we grew up with and so enjoyed. Aaron helped us do just that. He listened to what my daughter and I wanted (which wasn’t always the same J), was knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor! In short he was great to work with and he delivered what he said he would deliver and more. You won’t be disappointed if you have him DJ your wedding. Your guests won’t be disappointed either!
Sincerely,
Joan Mele-McCarthy………………….”
“………….I am happy to provide some information about my experience working with Aaron Couch. I have worked with him for nearly 10 years, mostly on weddings, some of them very complicated in nature and for very demanding clients.
1) I have worked with Aaron on many weddings, and in fact, he is always my first recommendation to brides looking for a DJ. Aaron has been involved in some of my most high profile weddings, including the wedding of a very well known politician's son. This client's expectations could not have been higher. The bride and groom were set on having a DJ, but the parents (being more traditional) wanted a band. Ultimately, the bride and groom won out and hired Aaron. Aaron worked very hard with the bride and groom to craft a playlist that included some pretty obscure favorite songs, and he also worked in songs he knew the parents would like. He was asked to find a balance of interests, and it was a pretty tall order in this case! The wedding turned out to be a huge success, and everyone could not have been more pleased with how Aaron performed.
2) I am always very pleased with Aaron's performance.
3) Aaron first and foremost loves music and knows music. It is his passion, and he is the sort of DJ that can really help clients craft a perfect playlist. Also, for some of my clients, he has been asked to obtain some pretty obscure songs. Not only does he not complain about these sorts of obscure requests, but he seems to enjoy the opportunity to have a dialogue with clients about music. This all goes back to his genuine love of music and all its genres.
Secondly, as an event planner, I like the way Aaron understands and respects schedules. This is very important because it leads to a successful outcome of an event. Also, because Aaron pays attention to schedules, he knows how to anticipate the energy of a party. He knows when and how the energy of the party builds and he plays into that so that the crowd has a wonderful time. There are some DJ's that simply pre-select a playlist and hit play the day of the event without any attention given to the schedule. Aaron is not that sort of DJ. He works with the schedule and he builds the energy of the party.
Finally, I like Aaron's professional polish and presentation. He dresses very nicely, has a beautiful deep baritone voice that people love, and he doesn't try to take over the event as an emcee or entertainer. He can make introductions and announcements, but he does so in a way that is professional, low key and exudes a coolness.
A few years ago Aaron was a DJ for a high profile client planning a big wedding on a private beachfront property. While this family could have afforded a 20-piece orchestra, the noise ordinance in their beach neighborhood did not allow for a live band. They were extremely disappointed about this. This family hired Aaron, and while they felt very comfortable with him, they assumed that there wasn't any way a DJ could be as wonderful as a live band. Well, to this day, this family sings Aaron's praises, and the father of this bride is a serious music lover with extremely high expectations (especially in the area of music). This family could not have been more pleased with the music and Aaron's performance as a DJ. After the wedding, guests called the family to say how much they loved "the band." For this family, that could not have been higher praise.
What Aaron did in this case was to create such a wonderful party with his music that the dance floor was full the entire time. People did not notice the music was coming from a DJ, not a band.
4) I address Aaron's skills as an MC a little bit in the paragraphs above. I think Aaron does a wonderful job with things like announcements. He has a beautiful voice and he is very polished in his presentation. Once again, he pays attention to schedules and timelines, and he is always willing to work with me and other vendors if adjustments to the schedule are needed. Sometimes DJs don't necessarily pay attention to the schedule or check in with the coordinator or catering supervisor to make sure things are running on time. This can lead to confusion and moments of awkwardness. Aaron always works as part of a vendor team and carefully tracks the schedule, which I appreciate tremendously.
I hope this is helpful to you. I adore working Aaron, and I hope you will have the opportunity to work with him too!
Best,
Allison Jackson of Pineapple Productions……………”
